Do not abandon your children out of fear of poverty. We will provide for them and for you. Killing them is certainly a great wrong. 31 Do not draw near to fornication, for it is an indecency, and its way is evil. 32 Do not kill the soul whom Allah has forbidden except by right. If he is slain unjustly, We have given his heir authority. But let him not exceed the limit in slaying, for he will be helped. 33 And do not approach the property of an orphan, except in the way that is best, until he reaches maturity. And fulfill [every] commitment. Indeed, the commitment is ever [that about which one will be] questioned. 34 And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an even balance. That is the best [way] and best in result. 35 And go not thou after that where of thou hast no knowledge verily the hearing and the sight and the heart, each of these shall be asked about. 36 Do not walk proudly on the earth; your feet cannot tear apart the earth nor are you as tall as the mountains. 37 Of all this related before, the evil among it is disliked by your Lord. 38 This is some of the wisdom your Lord has revealed to you. So do not take another god apart from God, or you will be cast into Hell, reproved, ostracised. 39 What! Has your Lord favored you with sons and taken to Himself females from among the angels? Indeed, you utter a monstrous thing! 40
