Allah is He Who made the cattle for you that you may ride on some of them, and some of them you eat. 79 And there are other benefits in them for you and that ye may attain thereby to any need that is in your breasts and upon them and upon ships ye are borne. 80 And He sheweth you His signs. Which, then, of the signs of Allah shall ya deny? 81 Did they not travel in the land to see what sort of fate befell those before them? They were more than these in number, and they exceeded them in strength and the signs they left behind in the earth – so what benefit did they get from what they earned? 82 When messengers came to them with clear signs, they revelled in whatever knowledge they had, and so they were engulfed by the very punishment they mocked: 83 Then when they behold Our prowess, they said: we believe in Allah alone, and we disbelieve in that which with Him we have been associating. 84 But then their affirming served them nothing after they had seen Our torment. This is the law of God that has prevailed among His creatures, Then the unbelievers went to rack and ruin. 85
