The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ What do they quarrel about? 1 About the great news, (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, the Quran, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.), 2 Concerning which they are in disagreement. 3 But they will soon come to know. 4 Yes, indeed, before long they will learn all about it. 5 Did We not make the earth a bed? 6 and raised the mountains like supporting poles? 7 We created you in pairs, 8 And have made your sleep as a thing for rest. 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 And made the day as a means of subsistence? 11 And constructed above you seven strong [heavens] 12 And made [therein] a burning lamp 13 And from the wind-driven clouds We send down waters pouring in abundance, 14 so that We might bring forth thereby grain, and herbs, 15 And dense gardens. 16 Surely the Day of Decision is an appointed time, 17 The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds; 18 and the heaven shall be opened, and become gates, 19 And the mountains will have been removed away, and they will have become as mirage. 20 Certainly Hell lies in wait, 21 for the insolent a resort, 22 They will remain in it for ages. 23 Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink, 24 save boiling water and wash of the wounds; 25 Reward proportioned (to their evil deeds). 26 Verily they were wont not to look for a reckoning. 27 And they belied Our revelations with strong belying. 28 And all things We have recorded in a Book. 29 [So We shall say], "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
