Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
