The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
