Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In columns outstretched. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
