We sent forth Noah to his nation. He said: 'Worship Allah, my people for you have no god except He. I fear for you the punishment of a great Day.' 59 The chiefs of his people said: Most surely we see you in clear error. 60 Said [Noah]: "O my people! There is no error in me, but I am an apostle from the Sustainer of all the worlds. 61 I bring to you the messages of my Lord, and give you sincere advice, for I know from God what you do not know. 62 Do you wonder that a warning has come to you from your Lord through a man who is one of you, and warns you to take heed for yourselves and fear God? You might be treated with mercy." 63 But they denied him, so We saved him and those who were with him in the ship. And We drowned those who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a blind people. 64
