He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
