Forgiver (Ghaafer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HaMeem. 1 This Book is revealed by God, the Almighty, the All Knowing. 2 Forgiver of trespasses, acceptor of repentance, severe of retribution, lord of power. There is no god but He. Towards Him is your destination. 3 None except the disbelievers dispute the signs of Allah, therefore do not let their free movements in the land deceive you. 4 The nation of Noah before them belied, and so did the parties after them. Every nation strove against their Messenger to seize him, disputing with false arguments to refute the truth. Then I seized them, how was My punishment! 5 Even so the Word of thy Lord was realised against the unbelievers, that they are the inhabitants of the Fire. 6 Those who bear the power and those around Him celebrate the praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask protection for those who believe: Our Lord! Thou embracest all things in mercy and knowledge, therefore grant protection to those who turn (to Thee) and follow Thy way, and save them from the punishment of the hell: 7 "And grant, our Lord! that they enter the Gardens of Eternity, which Thou hast promised to them, and to the righteous among their fathers, their wives, and their posterity! For Thou art (He), the Exalted in Might, Full of Wisdom. 8 And keep them from evil deeds, and whom Thou keepest from evil deeds this day, indeed Thou hast mercy on him, and that is the mighty achievement. 9
