If they should reject you, say, "My deeds are mine and your deeds are yours. You are not accountable for my actions, nor am I accountable for what you do." 41 And there are those of them who hear you, but can you make the deaf to hear though they will not understand? 42 And among them are some who look at thee: but canst thou guide the blind,- even though they will not see? 43 Indeed, Allah does not wrong the people at all, but it is the people who are wronging themselves. 44 And on the Day when He shall gather them together, it will seem to them as if they had not tarried in the world longer than an hour of a day. They will recognize one another; lost indeed will be those who considered it a lie that they were destined to meet God, and did not follow the right path. 45 Whether We let you see some of that with which We promised them, or We call you to Us, to Us they shall return. Allah is witness of the things they do. 46 And for every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a Messenger; when their Messenger comes, the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. 47 And they say: "When will be this promise (the torment or the Day of Resurrection), - if you speak the truth?" 48 (Muhammad), tell them, "I have no control over my suffering or benefits unless God wills. Every nation is destined to live for an appointed time. They can neither delay that time nor can they cause it to come sooner. 49 Say, "If His punishment comes upon you in the dead of night, or by the light of day, how will the guilty escape it? 50 Will you believe it when it comes to pass? Indeed, you will believe it then. How impatient you were to hasten it! 51 Then will the sinners be told: "Now taste everlasting torment. Should you be rewarded for anything else but what you did?" 52 They ask thee to tell them, 'Is it true?' Say: 'Yes, by my Lord! It is true; you cannot frustrate Him.' 53
