We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
