The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
