Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 1 And relieve you of the burden – 2 Which had left you devoid of hope, 3 Have We not raised your remembrance? 4 So, surely with every hardship there is ease; 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So, whenever you are free, strive in devotion, 7 And turn to your Lord with all your love. 8
God the Almighty always says the truth.
