Say: "Go all over the earth, and behold what happened in the end to those who gave the lie to the truth!" 11 Say: 'To whom belongs what is in the heavens and in the earth?' Say: 'It is God's. He has prescribed for Himself mercy. He will surely gather you to the Resurrection Day, of which is no doubt. Those who have lost their souls, they do not believe. 12 ۞ And to Him belongs whatever dwells in the night and the day; and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 13 Say: 'Shall I take for my guardian anyone other than Allah - the Originator of the heavens and earth; He Who feeds and Himself is not fed?' Say: 'Surely I have been commanded to be the first among those who submit (to Allah) and not to be one of those who associate others with Allah in His divinity (even though others may do so).' 14 Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day." 15 Who is averted from (such a torment) on that Day, (Allah) has surely been Merciful to him. And that would be the obvious success. 16 If Allah touch thee with affliction, there is none that can relieve therefrom save Him, and if He touch thee with good fortune (there is none that can impair it); for He is Able to do all things. 17 And He is the Supreme, above His servants; and He is the Wise, the Aware. 18 Say thou: what thing is the greatest in testimony? Say thou: Allah is Witness between me and you, and this Qur'an hath been revealed unto me that I may thereby warn you and whomsoever it may reach. Would ye indeed testify that there is god together with Allah? Say thou: I testify not. Say thou: verily He is the One God, and I am quit of that which ye associate. 19 Those to whom We have given the Scriptures know this as they know their own sons. But those who have ruined their souls will not believe. 20
