(People), is your creation harder for God than that of the heavens, which He created, raised and established 27 Raised it high, proportioned it, 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 He brought out its water and its pastures from it, 31 and the mountains He set firm, 32 all this as provision for you and your cattle. 33 Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),- 34 On that day man will recall all what he strove for. 35 And Hell-fire shall be made apparent in full view for (every) one who sees, 36 So for one who rebelled, 37 And who chose the life of the world, 38 surely Hell shall be the refuge. 39 but one who fears to stand before his Lord and restrained himself from base desires, 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They ask you: "When will the Hour be? When is its time fixed?" 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 You are but a warner for those who fear it. 45 It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof. 46
