He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 To him you attend; 6 And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified. 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 then eased his path for him, 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Let man consider his food: 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruits and grasses: 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 And his mother and his father, 35 wife and sons, 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 with darkness overspread: 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
