The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
