Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
We created mankind from clay, molded from mud, 26 And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire. 27 And when thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay of mud moulded. 28 When it is properly shaped and I have blown My Spirit into it, you should then bow down in prostration". 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 save Iblis; he refused to be among those bowing. 31 Allah said: O Iblis! what aileth thou that thou art not with the prostrates? 32 "How could I bow," said he, "before a mortal whom You created from fermented clay dried tingling hard?" 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 Upon thee shall rest the curse, till the Day of Doom.' 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 Answered He: "Verily, so be it: thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 37 till the Day the time whereof is known [to Me alone]." 38 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,- 39 Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves. 40 Allah said: this is the path leading unto Me straight. 41 Lo! as for My slaves, thou hast no power over any of them save such of the froward as follow thee, 42 Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
