We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
