And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand. 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 And every human being will come forward with [his erstwhile] inner urges and [his] conscious mind, 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his companion will say: this is that which with me is ready. 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 "Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
