By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 About the guilty: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
