Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
