The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 107 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 I am none but a plain warner." 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 and drowned the others. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
