We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
