Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
