The News (Al-Naba')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Of what ask they? 1 Of the mighty tiding 2 that they are in utter disagreement? 3 Nay, but in time they will come to understand [it]! 4 Then, no! They are going to know. 5 Have We not made the earth a resting place? 6 The mountains tent-pins? 7 And (have We not) created you in pairs, 8 And We have made your sleep as a rest. 9 And We have made the night a covering. 10 And made the day as a means of subsistence? 11 And We have builded over you seven strong heavens. 12 and placed therein a hot, shining lamp, 13 and have sent down from the clouds, pouring rain 14 That We may produce therewith corn and vegetations, 15 And gardens thick with trees. 16 Surely, the Day of Judgement has an appointed time. 17 the Day when the Trumpet shall be blown, and you will come forth in multitudes; 18 and the heaven shall be opened, and become gates, 19 And the mountains will have been removed away, and they will have become as mirage. 20 Surely the Hell is an ambush, 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 therein to tarry for ages, 23 tasting therein neither coolness nor any drink 24 But boiling and intensely cold water, 25 A fitting recompense (for them). 26 They did not expect such a Judgment 27 having given the lie to Our messages one and all: 28 And We have kept recorded everything in a Book, accounted for. 29 So taste! for We will not add to you aught but chastisement. 30
