He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 To him you attend; 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 And he feareth 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 And We made corn grow, 27 And grapes and clover, 28 And the olive and the palm, 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
