The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 The closing night, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
