The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
