The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
