Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And raiding at dawn 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
