The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

ALIF LAM MIM. 1 This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil). 2 Who believe in the Unknown and fulfil their devotional obligations, and spend in charity of what We have given them; 3 who have faith in what has been revealed to you and others before you and have strong faith in the life hereafter. 4 Such people are on the right way from their Lord and such are truly successful. 5 As for the Disbelievers, Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not it is all one for them; they believe not. 6 Allah has sealed up their hearts and ears and a covering has fallen over their eyes, and they have incurred the severest punishment. 7
