(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ They will have bashful wives of equal age with them. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 However, the rebellious ones will have the worst place to return. 55 Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place. 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
