Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the white forenoon 1 and the brooding night! 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
