Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 in endless columns! 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
