'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 and ease my task for me, 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 By him confirm my strength 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
