Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. 97 And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me." 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 Allah will say, “Remain rebuked in it, and do not speak to Me.” 108 "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' ” 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew. 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
