Not without purpose did We create heaven and earth and all between! that were the thought of Unbelievers! but woe to the Unbelievers because of the Fire (of Hell)! 27 Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right? 28 (This is) a Book (the Quran) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember. 29 And to Dawud (David) We gave Sulaiman (Solomon). How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 30 [Mention] when there were exhibited before him in the afternoon the poised [standing] racehorses. 31 Then he said: Surely I preferred the good things to the remembrance of my Lord-- until the sun set and time for Asr prayer was over, (he said): 32 "Bring them back to me," and he began to rub and stroke their shanks and necks. 33 Indeed, We tried Solomon and placed a body (of a child) upon his throne, then he repented. 34 He said: “My Lord, forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom such as none other after me will deserve. Surely You are the Bounteous Giver.” 35 So We made the wind subservient unto him, setting fair by his command whithersoever he intended. 36 And the unruly, every builder and diver (made We subservient), 37 And also others bound in fetters. 38 'This is Our gift; bestow or withhold without reckoning.' 39 He has a high position with Us and an excellent abode. 40
