Did you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? Where are they being diverted? 69 Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which We sent our messengers: but soon shall they know,- 70 When shackles will be on their necks and also chains; they will be dragged. 71 In the boiling fetid fluid: then in the Fire shall they be burned; 72 and then they will be asked, "Where are those whom you associated [with God]?" 73 "In derogation of Allah?" They will reply: "They have left us in the lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)." Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray. 74 “This is the recompense of your being happy upon falsehood in the earth, and the recompense of your conceit.” 75 Enter the gates of Gehenna and live there for ever. Evil is the lodging of the proud. 76 So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
