We shall make satan the companion of whoever ignores the remembrance of the Beneficent God. 36 And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allah), but they think that they are guided aright! 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 They will be told on the Day of Judgment, "Regret will never be of any benefit to you. You have done injustice to your souls and you will share the torment". 39 Can you, (O Prophet), then make the deaf hear, or direct to the Right Way the blind or one lost in manifest error? 40 And whether [or not] We take you away [in death], indeed, We will take retribution upon them. 41 Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them. 42 So hold thou fast to the Revelation sent down to thee; verily thou art on a Straight Way. 43 Verily it is a great source of eminence for you and your people, and soon you will be called to account concerning that. 44 And ask (O Muhammad SAW) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint aliha (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Beneficent (Allah)?" 45
