The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 then he mustered 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
