The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
