Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
