Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 separating one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
