The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - 2 Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them. 3 And who believe in that which has been revealed to you and that which was revealed before you and they are sure of the hereafter. 4 They have found the guidance of their Lord and will be successful. 5 Verily those who have disbelieved, it is equal to them whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they will not believe. 6 Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom. 7
