The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 This Quran tells the Israelites most of the matters about which they had disputes among themselves. 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; you are indeed upon the clear Truth. 79 Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ When God's word is justly carried out against them, We will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our signs. 82
