Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
