The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 to their promise, 9 these are the heirs 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
