The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, “Shall we believe in you, whereas the abject people are with you?” 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 I am naught but a warner manifest. 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 Noah said, "My Lord, my people have rejected me, 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
