Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Quran) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (can not differentiate between right and wrong). 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
